Shmyhal spoke about the new tranche of aid/Collage of Channel 24
The Ukrainian budget has already received $1.7 billion in grant aid. They were sent by the US Trust Fund and the World Bank.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmihal spoke about receiving financial assistance. The head of government thanked official Washington and personally President Joe Biden for such significant support.
This is the second US grant in the last 2 weeks
Shmigal noted that this is the second US grant in the last two weeks. The total amount of assistance amounted to 3 billion in US currency.
Earlier, the Ukrainian government reported that these funds should be used to cover the costs of the state budget. In particular, we are talking about paying for medical services under the system of medical guarantees.
The Ministry of Finance named the largest expenditure items of the state budget
Note that the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance listed the largest expenditure items of the state budget from the beginning war. The State Treasury reported that as of July 1, 2022, the total amount of cash expenditures of the general fund of the state budget was UAH 812.7 billion.
The largest expenditure items:
- Accrued wages.
- Social security.
- Public debt service.
- Transfers to local budgets.
