Ukraine is disappointed by the lack of proposals from the European Union on the issue of sanctions against the Russian nuclear sector. Although the Ukrainian side offered options on how to get rid of dependence on the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced this to foreign journalists in Brussels. In his opinion, EU states are making a big mistake by allowing the Russian Federation to make money from the nuclear industry.
“We put the bait in the hands of the EU to catch the big fat sanctioned fish of Rosatom. Unfortunately, we don’t see this result yet,” Kuleba noted.
According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, Ukraine, together with the Westinghouse company, proposed a solution to break Russia’s monopoly on the supply of fuel to nuclear power plants in the European Union.
