Ukraine informed its international partners and the European Commission in advance about the completion of the agreement on gas transit from Russia, and also prepared its own infrastructure to operate without him.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal after a meeting with Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko, CEO of the Ukrainian Gas Transmission System Operator Dmytro Lippa, and the management of Naftogaz and Ukrtransgaz.
Preparing to work without Russian gas
During the meeting, they discussed issues of the functioning of the gas transportation system and gas balance, namely the energy balance, the state of filling of gas storage facilities and safety issues.
