The Ukrainian national futsal team has reached the quarterfinals of the 2024 World Cup, which is taking place in Uzbekistan.
In the 1/8 finals of the World Cup, the blue and yellows beat the Netherlands with a score of 3:1.

Towards the end of the half, the Dutch responded, but the Ukrainians were saved from conceding. Finally, the orange team managed to equalize in the second 20 minutes after a goal by Said Bouzambu.
In the 31st minute, the Ukrainian team took the lead again thanks to a goal by Andriy Melnyk. After that, the Ukrainians had several more dangerous moments to increase their advantage, but somewhere they lacked accuracy.
However, our guys put the final point in the meeting with the Dutch less than a minute before the end of the game – Melnyk scored a double.

At the group stage of the 2024 Futsal World Cup, the Ukrainian national team won two victories — over Angola (7:2) and Afghanistan (4:1), but suffered a crushing defeat from Argentina (1:7).
The next opponent of the blue-yellows at the World Cup will be determined in the match between Spain and Venezuela, which will take place on September 25.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian national team will play in the quarterfinals of the Futsal World Cup for the second time in history. The first time this happened was in 2012, when our team lost to Colombia in the quarterfinals (1:3).
