Germany gave permission to Ukraine to strike with transferred weapons on Russian territory, but in areas close to the state border.
This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Moldova on May 31, reports Bild journalist Julian Röpke.
Germany grants permission to Ukraine to attack the Russian Federation
— The permission to use German weapons on Russian soil concerns in particular the defense around Kharkov, since the proximity to the border there is especially obvious, — said the German Minister of Defense.
According to Boris Pistorius, now we are not talking about using long-range weapons to strike Russian territory.

— This decision is correct. This is what we have always done since the very beginning of the war that Putin is waging against Ukraine, — says the German Minister of Defense.
As he noted, Germany adapted to the situation and adjusted its strategy. Pistorius also added that after such a decision, Germany will not resume the debate on the supply of German long-range Taurus cruise missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Recently, the Bild publication reported that Germany allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to carry out strikes with transferred weapons on Russian territory no further than 40 km.
