Ukraine managed to return the bodies of another 51 defenders to the controlled territory. They died defending our state from Russian aggression.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
– The Ukrainian side has taken a number of measures, as a result of which the Ukrainian government controlled territory managed to repatriate the bodies of 51 dead defenders, — stated in the message.

The bodies of the soldiers were returned thanks to the joint work of the headquarters, the Civil-Military Cooperation Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Directorate for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the headquarters clarified thatwithin two years of work, they managed to repatriate the bodies of 1,832 Ukrainian soldiers.
Ukraine will continue to search for and return the bodies of all defenders who gave their lives during the battles for our independence.
