Ukraine is working intensively to restore air traffic from Kyiv and Lviv and everything possible will definitely be done to implement this.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Office of the President Rostislav Shurma during a panel discussion in Davos.
According to him, the presence of reliable logistics and transport links, especially air links, are important elements of the country’s business and investment activities.

Which airports in Ukraine can open
Shurma was asked whether the Ukrainian authorities are really considering the possibility of opening airports in Kiev and Lvov. He said that we are talking about both airports, but the main focus is on Boryspil.
Regarding the timing of when air travel could be opened, Shurma said that he was not ready to answer.
—We have an internal roadmap and schedule. You are right, but I don’t want to name any specific dates… If only it depended on us. Perhaps I would be ready to make a public commitment, but I think that the share of our homework here is no more than 20%, — he stated.
The possibility of restoring air traffic in Ukraine also depends on international partners, independent regulators and insurance companies.
The success of this decision will depend, in particular, on Ukraine’s ability to ensure the physical safety of flights. Shurma noted that the Ukrainian side and the military are closely cooperating with colleagues from Israel to study their experience.
Recall that in early December, the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Ermak stated that the Ukrainian authorities plan to soon open Boryspil International Airport, which has been closed since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
