Not all aircraft are rocket carriers
Zhdanov noted that not all aircraft are rocket carriers. Only strategic aviation can carry on board the missiles with which they fire at us. In particular, Kh-22 missiles carry Tu-22M3 located at the airfield in the Kursk region, Tu-95 and Tu-160 – at the airfield in Engels.
Only they can carry missiles that strike at us. The rest of the aviation, about 400 aircraft and about 340 helicopters, not all strike. There are bombers, there are fighters, but this is not strategic aviation. They can deliver rocket and bomb strikes, but at short distances. Their air-to-ground missiles have a range of up to 300 kilometers, a military expert noted. He continued, if these planes enter the airspace of the territory controlled by Ukraine, the air defense will immediately shoot them down. That is why there have been no Russian aircraft in the sky over Ukraine, outside the combat zone, since April. Only ballistic and cruise missiles.
“Aviation can only operate in the combat zone, against objects that are near the front line,” Zhdanov stressed.
Russia has problems with pilots
The military expert added one important detail why this aircraft is not so threatening. Russia has huge problems with pilots. That is why Russia single-handedly uses aircraft. That is, 2 – 3 pairs of pilots work there, who inflict 25 air strikes.

According to him, we shoot down 1-3 cars of Russians every day. Firstly, our military received combat experience in the use of MANPADS. Secondly, the quality of Russian pilots is very low.
