Ukroboronprom and the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) have agreed to cooperate in strengthening the potential of Ukrainian air defense.
We are talking about the integration of Ukrainian short- and medium-range air defense systems into the infrastructure of the NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system.

Earlier, KDA representatives held preliminary negotiations with their Ukrainian colleagues and studied their production and scientific and technical capabilities.
Ukroboronprom CEO Oleh Gulyak noted that the development and scaling of domestic air defense and missile defense systems is one of the company's priorities.
“Together with Norwegian arms manufacturers, we will take a new step towards creating a robust air shield that should reliably cover strategic facilities and civilian infrastructure. I am confident that cooperation with KDA will become another example of fruitful international partnership,” he noted.
Back in January, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov spoke about expanding cooperation with Kongsberg, which is the developer and supplier of the NASAMS air defense system to Ukraine.
The discussion was about how the integration of domestic air defense systems into the NASAMS system will increase its effectiveness. Another area of partnership is the counter-drone system and the possibility of localizing their production in Ukraine.
