< strong _ngcontent-sc88="">French President Emmanuel Macron visited Kyiv on June 16th. He assured that Europe would continue to support Ukraine.

The politician announced this following the visit. Macron believes that Ukraine should be free.

“Ukraine has not yet died. Neither the glory nor the will of Ukraine has died. These words are the first of the Ukrainian anthem. I tell them today from Kyiv: you can count on the brotherhood of Europe to keep Ukraine free,” the French president wrote.

Supported EU accession

Macron also assured that he considers Ukraine a part of the European family. He, with partners from Germany, Italy and Romania, with whom he visited Kyiv, supports the granting of Ukraine a candidate for the European Union.

He said that the EU does not plan to provide Ukraine with certain types of weapons so as not to go to war with Russia. We are talking about attack aircraft and tanks. In addition, the French president plans to continue to call Putin on the phone and discuss humanitarian issues, but before that he will warn Zelensky.

The French president noted that he understands that his calls to Putin did not bring any result . He was especially convinced of this when he visited Irpin. He is very disappointed.

“Disappointed is not even a strong enough word given what this man's actions have led to,” Macron said.

For the first time since February 24, Zelensky met with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and the President Romania by Klaus Iogannis. Politicians came to discuss food security, weapons and support for Ukraine.
