Ukraine has achieved its goals in the US: a political scientist explained how to treat the statements of the Republicans Melania Golembyovskaya

Donald Trump and his vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance have repeatedly criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the United States. Such statements should not be taken seriously, they are manipulations and technological stories.

Political scientist, executive director of the International Association of Small Communities Alexey Buryachenko expressed this opinion to Channel 24, noting that Trump supported the opposition rhetoric to the White House, and Vance supported him. Ukraine received support from both parties and achieved its goals.

How to treat the statements of US politicians

Immediately after Trump's meeting with Zelensky, Vance said that the President of Ukraine should thank the Americans for their help.

According to the political scientist, Ukraine always thanks the Americans for supporting our country. After all, it has remained bipartisan: from both Democrats and Republicans. This is always emphasized by the president and Ukrainian official diplomats.

Vance's statement is manipulation and an attempt to pass off wishful thinking as reality, as if Ukraine is ungrateful. However, we are always grateful, Buryachenko emphasized.

The political scientist explained that there is also another side to the issue – Ukraine would like more decisive actions from its key partners, primarily the United States.

During his visit to the United States, Zelensky presented Joe Biden with a plan for victory and emphasized that if our country does not strengthen its peace formula in the winter, then the United States will spend even more political effort and resources than it can spend now to achieve strong positions.

We are really waiting, let's wait for Rammstein to see if our position is fully understood. We need not only Biden's political statements that Ukraine should have a fair peace, but also permission to strike deep into Russia, Buryachenko noted.

Regarding Trump's statement about Zelensky on the eve of their meeting, according to the political scientist, this is simply a technological story. Zelensky met with congressmen, senators, candidates from both parties, as well as with the leader of the Democrats Kamala Harris. Therefore, for the balance, the meeting with the Republican leader was important.

Trump simply wanted to get the most out of the fact that he agreed to meet with our president. Zelensky specially flew to him from Washington to New York for the last meeting in the United States, although it was planned to be in the White House. Now Trump can articulate to his voters that the final meeting was with him, Buryachenko noted.

He added that the Republican leader did not talk about a fair peace in Ukraine and the victory plan that Zelensky presented to him. But he did talk about his vision of ending the war, which he had talked about before.

Although Trump got the “ticket” for the meeting, it is still beneficial for him to maintain opposition rhetoric to the White House. That is why Vance then comes out and talks about what should bring advantages to the Republicans' election campaign, the political scientist explained.

As a result, Buryachenko noted that such statements should not be surprising. Ukraine achieved its goals in the US and retained the support of both parties.

Note! Political scientist Maxim Dzhigun expressed the opinion that Trump is simply resorting to marketing moves, which he is good at. He does not think in terms of good and evil, but only expediency and inexpediency.
