Ukrainian forces have recaptured a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. If events develop positively, then the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to not only hold tactical bridgeheads, but also unite them into one – operational.
According to analysts, this will make it possible to move deeper into the territories temporarily captured by the Russians. And the most important goal is to reach the Crimean Isthmus about 100 km.
Military observer of the Information Resistance group Konstantin Mashovets noted that the immediate goal of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is to cut the Oleshki-Novaya Kakhovka highway (road T2206), the distance to which is 5-7 km.

According to the expert, Russia does not have the ability to quickly send reserves to active sectors of the front if it does not control the main roads in the Kherson region. He noted that the enemy would not be able to hold the left bank if he was deprived of the opportunity to maneuver.
Analyst Andrei Ryzhenko believes that the occupiers may soon withdraw Russian forces from the Kinburn Spit and the coastal zone of the Kherson region (12 km south of Oleshki).
This will make it possible not only to unblock sea routes to ports, but even to protect Ochakov, Nikolaev region, from Russian artillery attacks. However, the main task of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is to cut off the logistics of the invaders from Crimea.
According to Ryzhenko, Ukraine has a fairly good moment to approach the captured peninsula. He noted that this would reduce the resilience of Russians in Crimea. However, there is little time for maneuvers due to the approaching winter cold.
Expert Konstantin Mashovets added that Moscow is not bringing reserve forces into battle, but intends to block the bridgehead recaptured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the help of tactical groups. They operate on the first line of defense of the Russian Federation.
