Украина не испытывает давления относительно переговоров с РФ — глава МИД

Ukraine does not feel pressure from other countries to start negotiations with Russia. The European Union does not observe “war fatigue” among European countries and claims that Ukraine will receive assistance in the future.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during a press conference in Brussels together with EU representative Josep Borrell.

The Foreign Minister called the phrase “the elephant in the room” unfair, which describes an inconvenient issue that is deliberately hushed up.

The correspondent asked Kuleba about the so-called elephant in the room. This is what the journalist called rumors about “tiredness of Ukraine” in European capitals. She asked whether he sees appropriate signals to begin negotiations with Russia.

“I think this idiom is unfair to elephants.” Elephants are very wise animals, compassionate and energetic. If you are a member of a herd, then they always protect each other, no matter in what condition,” the head of the Foreign Ministry gave an example.

According to him, “all the good elephants are on the side of Ukraine, which is a member of the herd.” According to the minister, other countries will defend Ukraine as much as the state will contribute to the defense in return.

Kuleba assures that he does not feel pressure on Ukraine to begin negotiations with Russia. Josep Borrell also assured that he does not see “war fatigue” among European countries, and assistance to Ukraine will continue.
