Israel takes an ambiguous position in Russia's war against Ukraine and refuses to accept refugees. Ukraine may decide to restrict entry.

This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk. He noted that although the time spent by Ukrainians in Israel was increased by a month, they reduced the list of relatives who could come to Israeli citizens.

Israeli know-how

Korniychuk said that Israel also stopped considering inviting Ukrainians for treatment. However, Russians are allowed in without restrictions.

The ambassador stressed that no country in the world has introduced a visa for Ukrainians after February 24. States such as Canada and Ireland have unilaterally waived visas altogether. Know-how was made in Israel and visas were introduced.

There are no restrictions for Russians and Belarusians

According to Korniychuk, a large outflow of Ukrainians from Israel has recently been recorded. Over 5,000 people left last month alone.

“And it would be nice if they concerned all those involved in the war! But Russian citizens enter Israel without restrictions, citizens of Belarus too, and citizens of Ukraine came up with electronic visas,” the diplomat said.

He added that Ukraine takes it painfully and considers it unacceptable. The citizens of Israel can get an answer.

Neither I nor my leadership can help but take this painfully. In my Foreign Ministry and in the Office of the President of Ukraine they tell me: this is unacceptable. We are now considering whether to suspend the visa-free regime for Israelis. Now it will be imperceptible, but by Rosh Hashanah the Israeli government will feel it, – Korniychuk.

Russia forced to support the war

< p dir="ltr"> Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt of the capital of the occupiers of Moscow left Russia. The reason was that he was asked to support the aggression against Ukraine. The man was in office for 33 years.

In May, Goldschmidt left for Hungary. There he and his wife collected aid for Ukrainian refugees.
