Representatives of the US State Department, the Pentagon and the National Security Council discussed with the Ukrainian side the details of the security agreement for Ukraine.
This is stated in a message on the website of the US State Department.
It is noted that the United States continues to support Ukraine in developing its current and future defense capabilities, while providing military and economic assistance.

The United States is one of 32 countries that have long-term bilateral security agreements with Ukraine. To date, nine of these countries have completed negotiations and signed such agreements.

White House National Security Advisor John Kirby noted that no matter when and how the war ends, Ukraine will still have a long border with Russia, and therefore the security issue for the Ukrainian people will not disappear.

Recall that in July 2023, the Big Seven (G7) approved the Declaration of Support for Ukraine, according to which each G7 country must agree on long-term bilateral security agreements with Ukraine.
