Ukraine plans to deepen cooperation at the parliamentary level with the UK and Poland on the issue of Ukrainian refugees.

This was discussed during a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation headed by the head of the Servant of the People party ” Elena Shulyak with delegations of deputies from Poland and Great Britain.

Shulyak said that the UK and Poland are ready to provide assistance, in particular, in the issue of helping Ukrainians who were forced to leave Ukraine, in creating joint educational and social programs.

As noted by the participant of the meeting, MP of the “Servant of the People” Nikita Poturaev, Poland and the UK are doing a lot in terms of helping refugees and not only.

“These are two reliable allies of Ukraine in Europe. We thank you for your help in getting our citizens settled and providing them with everything they need,” he said.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed what remains to be done in this regard. We are talking about:

  • improving psychological assistance,
  • activating work at the level of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada and the Sejm of Poland,
  • how the UK can increase its contribution to the solution refugee problems, both in Europe and in Ukraine.

According to the UN, more than 10 million Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes because of the war. Of these, 6.5 million are internally displaced and 3.9 million have moved abroad.
