Ukraine Attacks Facility in Chuvashia Where Antennas for Shahed and Iskanders Are Produced

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck a Russian military-industrial complex facility that produces the Kometa adaptive antenna arrays used in high-precision weapons.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of July 5, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, attacked JSC VNIIR-Progress in the city of Cheboksary, Chuvashia Republic of the Russian Federation. There are production facilities there where adaptive Kometa antennas are manufactured. They are installed on Shahed drones, Iskander-K missiles, modules for guided aerial bombs (KAB) and other high-precision weapons, actively used by the Russian Federation to shell Ukraine, including civilian targets.

According to preliminary data, the weapons have reached the target area. The results of the attack are being clarified.

The Defense Forces emphasized that they will continue to carry out strikes to reduce the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to stop its aggression against Ukraine.

Let us recall that long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine hit two military-industrial complex plants in the Russian rear – Bazalt and Splav.
