British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, amid discussions about the recent conversation between the German Chancellor and the Russian dictator, commented on the possibility of a conversation with the latter.

In a comment to journalists, he said that he does not plan to talk to Vladimir Putin. This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to Sky News.

Starmer will not talk to Putin

On the way to the G20 summit, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke to the press, where he was asked to comment on the recent initiative of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to talk to Vladimir Putin.

It's up to Chancellor Scholz who he talks to. I do not plan to talk to Putin, he assured.

He emphasized that Ukraine is approaching the thousandth day of the war, “1,000 days of enormous influence and sacrifice on the part of the Ukrainian people.” Separately, the British Prime Minister commented on the involvement of DPRK soldiers by Russia to wage war in Ukraine.

According to him, this “shows Russia's desperation” and shows “serious implications for European security.” Therefore, against this background, he appealed to world leaders with a call to “redouble their efforts to strengthen support for Ukraine.”

Starmer noted that Ukraine is his “top priority on the agenda” at the G20 summit. In his opinion, when it comes to our country, it concerns issues that are too important to discuss.

By the way, as Barron's reports, French President Emmanuel Macron does not rule out the possibility of calling the Russian leader. He can do this when “the context allows.” At the same time, Macron is convinced of the dictator's intentions to intensify military action.
