Since the beginning of the year, 20 billion UAH have been allocated from the state budget reserve fund for fortifications and the construction of defensive lines. Additional resource from other sources — another almost 11 billion UAH.

Fortification and defensive lines in 2024
— The government has allocated more than 20 billion UAH from the state budget this year for the creation of fortification and construction of defensive lines. The corresponding headquarters operates on a daily basis. We also coordinate work with regional administrations, the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense, — he emphasized.

In particular, according to him, The Ministry of Defense received 3 billion UAH, another more than 16 billion UAH — regional military administrations: 4 billion — Kharkov Regional State Administration, UAH 1.8 billion — Sumskaya, UAH 1.5 billion each — Volyn and Odessa, Zaporozhye and Kherson — UAH 1.3 billion each, Donetsk — 1.2 billion UAH and Kiev — 1.1 billion UAH.
— These funds will be used to create high-quality, preferably concrete, fortification systems and engineered non-explosive barriers, — he specified.
At the end of the year, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that expanded the list of government bodies that can purchase goods, works and services for the construction of military engineering and fortification structures.
Until now, this function was performed by OVAs. From now on, customers will also be able to be the Ministry of Defense, the State Special Transport Service and the State Agency for Reconstruction and Infrastructure Development.
