Former Ukrainian national football player Anatoly Timoshchuk, who betrayed his homeland and continues to earn money in the terrorist state of Russia, does not want to lose his awards.
The traitor filed a complaint with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne on appealing the decision of the UAF CDC.
The press service of the Ukrainian Football Association confirmed that CAS proceedings are pending against Tymoshchuk’s appeal of the UAF decision.

Anatoly Timoshchuk continued to work in Russia even after this country’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He ignored questions about the war and remained silent about the atrocities of the Russians.
For such a position, the UAF punished Tymoshchuk by depriving him of all state awards and titles, the titles of winner and silver medalist of the Ukrainian Championship and exclusion from the official register of players of the UAF national teams. In addition, he was deprived of a Pro-UEFA level coaching license issued by the UAF Licensing Center.
Tymoshchuk appealed this decision to the UAF Appeal Committee. But he was denied satisfaction of his appeal in full, leaving the decision of the UAF FTC in force.
He spoke about the war for the first time only in December 2022. Promoting pro-Kremlin narratives that are far from reality, Tymoshchuk said that he “does not see the difference between the Ukrainian and Russian people”.
On January 7, 2023, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky introduced sanctions against cultural figures of the Russian Federation. Traitors of Ukraine, in particular Anatoly Tymoshchuk, were also on the sanctions list.
