Kyiv has restored two thirds of its own generating capacity after rocket attacks and does not stop repairing equipment.
This was stated by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Pyotr Panteleev, writes the website Kyiv City State Administration.
According to him, energy facilities in the capital were subjected to more than a dozen attacks, as a result of which more than half of the generating capacity was disabled.

— Enormous work has been done and now two thirds have been restored. What is important is that the most modern European technologies and equipment are used. As a result, the city's energy facilities, which were built primarily during the Soviet period, are being modernized and becoming much more efficient, — Panteleev told.
Generation restoration projects in Kyiv
Renewal and modernization projects have become part of the Energy Recovery concept: the path to distributed cogeneration.
– We plan to decentralize the electricity and heat production system by building small and medium-power CHP plants. In addition, the city is developing a cluster of facility autonomy in conditions of a possible lack of electricity. Without this, quality preparation for winter is impossible,” the official said.
In addition, all hospitals in Kyiv are equipped with generators, more than a hundred boiler houses of the central heating system have generators, 175 pump rooms can be quickly connected to autonomous power sources.
– We are now increasing the number of mobile boiler houses. It is within the framework of the Project Reforming the District Heating Sector in Ukraine that solar panels are being installed in medical institutions in Kyiv, said the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
In addition, Pyotr Panteleev recalled that there are about 11 thousand high-rise buildings in the capital, of which a large number have engineering equipment that depends on electricity. We are talking about pumps for water supply systems, heating systems, elevators, etc.
– The city has developed and is implementing 4 programs as tools for housing communities to install backup power. This is a program for co-financing energy efficiency measures 70/30, a program for co-financing repairs, a program for compensating funds for the purchase of alternative food, and a program for providing preferential loans. To date, more than 1,000 housing communities have taken part in such programs and completed energy-efficient measures, — the official summarized.
We would like to remind you that from July 20 a number of programs to support the population in conditions of electricity shortages will be launched in Ukraine.
