Russians destroy Ukrainian churches/State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience
The occupiers continue to commit war crimes – to destroy houses and cultural buildings. Churches and other spiritual buildings are not bypassed – Russians destroy about 2 churches a day.
According to the Ministry of Culture, there are destroyed churches in at least 8 regions of Ukraine – Kiev, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporozhye, Lugansk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv.
In total, 59 churches suffered from shelling by the invaders – the Russians destroy about 2 religious buildings per day.

The vast majority of affected churches were Orthodox. Temples of other confessions were also destroyed – mosques, Protestant churches, synagogues and administrative buildings of religious organizations.
