Turkey handed over a list of Russian ships that export Ukrainian wheat

Turkey was handed over a list of Russian ships exporting grain stolen in Ukraine/Collage of Channel 24 -sc87=””>The Turkish presidential adviser was given a list of ships on which Russia takes the stolen grain out of Ukraine and tries to sell it in other countries. Some of them were also in Turkish ports.

Russia exported stolen grain through Turkish ports

This was stated by the leader of the Crimean Tatars, Mustafa Dzhemilev, after a meeting with Erdogan's chief adviser Yalchin Topch and head of the National Defense Commission of the Turkish Parliament Feyzi Berbidek. They met and talked in Ankara.

They discussed information from Ukrainian intelligence that wheat and other goods that Russia steals from the temporarily occupied territories are transported, in particular, through Turkish ports.

“Although four years ago it was decided that no ships visiting ports in the occupied territories, primarily ports in the Crimea, can be accepted and serviced in the ports of Turkey,” Dzhemilev said.

According to the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Turkey was given a list of ships that took out stolen wheat from Kherson through Sevastopol, and then Turkish ports. Then they tried to sell the grain to Turkey, Syria and Egypt.

We agreed that they would take it under control, Mustafa Dzhemilev said.

We talked about Ukrainian refugees and the supply of weapons

In a conversation with representatives of Turkey, they discussed not only grain. They also touched upon the topic of Ukrainians who were forced to flee the war and temporarily stopped in Turkey. In particular, officials tried to find ways to solve problematic and controversial issues – work permits, insurance, etc. According to Dzhemilev, the Turkish side has demonstrated full mutual understanding and readiness to assist Ukrainian refugees.

At the meeting, they probably also discussed military assistance to Ukraine, namely the supply of weapons by Turkey. However, Dzhemilev did not talk about this in more detail.

If there were no Turkish “Bayraktars” in Ukraine in the first days of a full-scale invasion and war with Russia, it would have been very difficult. Turkey helps to the best of its ability, but I don’t want to go into details,” Dzhemilev said on this occasion.

Russia steals and exports grain from Ukraine: what is known

  • Russians illegally export Ukrainian wheat and other goods from the temporarily occupied territories. They are trucking the loot to the Crimea, and from there they are trying to transport it by ship and sell it to other countries.
  • They have already taken hundreds of tons of grain from Ukraine, the stock of which should have been enough for several years.
  • If most countries in the world refuse to buy stolen grain, then the situation may soon change. Due to the blocking of Ukrainian ports by Russia, our state cannot export grain as it did in peacetime. According to some reports, 400 million people depend on this supply, and its impossibility threatens the world with famine. If nothing changes, the wheat stolen from Ukraine could be in high demand.
  • Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko cynically stated that they could provide humanitarian corridors for grain ships. But they demand the easing of sanctions pressure and the clearance of port waters by the Ukrainian side.
