  • Antalya. A fire broke out in the Seriku district, Yumaklar village. The fire was extinguished by two helicopters with night vision, 70 fire engines, 11 water trucks, and 5 special equipment. On July 28, the flames were partially brought under control; thanks to the efforts of rescuers, they did not spread further. 30 houses were evacuated, and about 60 hectares of territory were damaged.
  • Kahramanmaraş. A fire broke out in the Onkişubat district, near the Firniza recreation area. Firefighters from the Forestry Administration, the Fire Service, and the local gendarmerie fought the fire. Reinforcements from Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Osmaniye, and Hatay arrived to help. More than 80 hectares of territory were damaged. 25 fire engines, 4 units of special equipment, a total of 61 vehicles and 167 rescuers are involved. The fire was brought under control after 18 hours of fighting, cooling operations are ongoing.
  • Adana. A fire broke out in the Kozanu district, the village of Koseli. Fire brigades of the Forestry Administration, three helicopters, two planes, 50 fire engines and water trucks, 5 units of special equipment and many rescuers were sent to the scene. Some houses have been evacuated for safety reasons.

Earlier, Turkish media reported that a forest fire broke out for an unknown reason in the northwestern province of Yalova, and two helicopters, 10 fire trucks and other means were called in to extinguish it. The fire was eventually brought under control.

In addition, a fire broke out for an unknown reason in the Kavacik region of Izmir in western Turkey. It was also brought under control some time later after rescuers and special equipment were called in.
