The Ministry of Justice sent a petition to Austria for the extradition of Oleksandr Tupytsky, ex-Chairman of the Constitutional Court, to Ukraine.
Austria may extradite Tupitsky
Also, through Interpol, the State Bureau of Investigation sent a “red notice” to detain Tupitsky.
Expected the response of the General Secretariat of Interpol about the possibility of using its channels to search for Tupitsky, the message says.
Tupitsky says that he left legally
Oleksandr Tupytsky, 59, the former head and ex-member of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, has been living in Austrian Vienna as a refugee for half a year and claims that he crossed the Ukrainian border legally, as “released from mobilization.”
According to Radio Liberty , Tupitsky did not officially cross the Ukrainian border. He himself claims that he has an appropriate certificate of release from mobilization as a judge and left Ukraine across the border with Hungary for family reasons. At the same time, he does not remember which checkpoint he crossed the border from.
Tupitsky is suspected of what
Tupitsky is suspected of bribing a witness and misleading the court in the case of the former chairman of the Supreme Economic Court Viktor Tatkov and the Zuevsky Energy Mechanical Plant.
In May, Tupitsky was put on the international wanted list. He was also allowed to be extradited from Austria.
