Ukrainian track and field athlete Igor Tsvetov became a two-time champion of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, winning his second gold at the competition.
The athlete became the best in the 200-meter race in the T35 class. Tsvetov also showed the best time of the season in this discipline.
Tsvetov won another gold at the 2024 Paralympics
For Igor Tsvetov, this is the third Paralympic Games in his career. He became a two-time champion of Rio 2016 in the 100 and 200 meter races, but in Tokyo he was unable to defend his title, finishing second in both distances.

In Paris, he managed to win again in both distances, beating two “neutral” athletes with Russian passports in the 100 meter race.
In the 200 meter race, Igor showed a time of 23.19 seconds. He again beat the same representatives of the aggressor country, competing under “neutral” flag, — Dmitry Safronov and Artem Kalashyan.
Another Ukrainian, Ivan Tetyukhin, finished fifth with a time of 24.87 seconds.
Tsvetov's gold medal in the 200-meter dash was the 17th for Ukraine at the 2024 Paralympics. Thanks to her, Ukraine rose to seventh place in the medal standings, ahead of the Brazilian team.
