Trump's Total Control: Republicans Win Majority in US House of Representatives Dmitry Usik

The Republican Party has won a majority in the US House of Representatives. Newly elected President Donald Trump's party members won 218 seats against 208 seats for the Democrats.

This was reported by Channel 24 with reference to the Associated Press.

Republicans win in the House of Representatives

The Republican victory in the House of Representatives in Arizona, along with the victory in California, means that they now control both chambers of Congress. Earlier, the Republicans also gained control of the Senate.

The publication notes that a slim majority will help the party's leaders gain a mandate to overthrow the federal government and quickly implement Donald Trump's vision for the country.

Previously, Donald Trump promised to carry out the country's largest deportation operation, continue tax breaks, punish his political enemies, seize control of powerful tools of the federal government, and change the US economy. The Republican Party's victories guarantee that Congress will take part in this, and the Democrats will be almost powerless to control it.

In 2016, the Republicans also controlled Congress, but Trump faced Republican leaders who resisted his ideas, as well as a Supreme Court with a liberal majority. This time, Trump will be working with a Republican Party that is almost entirely made up of MAGA followers, and the Supreme Court will be dominated by conservative justices, three of whom were appointed by the president-elect himself.
