The Wall Street Journal journalist Bojan Pancevski told important details about the possible presidency of Donald Trump. Panchevski noted that the candidate from the Republican Party, if he wins, will not leave Ukraine to Putin just like that.

According to the journalist, reports of such steps from Trump in the event of his second presidency “do not look at all like the truth.”

What Trump might do regarding the war in Ukraine presidency

The Wall Street Journal journalist explained that he believes Trump has different ideas on what to do in Russia's war against Ukraine, as well as how to negotiate. According to the media specialist, all of Trump's confidants who may take positions in his government can be called “Putin critics” – and they plan to put pressure on him.

Panczewski believes that Donald Trump may offer an ultimatum deal to Putin.

It will include the following things: “If you do not enter into an agreement with us and do not want a fair peace in Ukraine, then we will supply much more weapons to Ukraine,” said a Wall Street Journal journalist.

In addition, according to Panczewski, Trump could completely cut off large Russian banks – such as Gazprombank – from international financial markets. At the same time, according to the media specialist, the Trump team can act against Russia by military means.

“They (American authorities – Channel 24) can destroy the Crimean bridge within a week , and then cut off the Crimean peninsula from Russia. They could do this, for example, if they supplied (Ukraine – 24 Channel) the appropriate weapons. If you want the bridge to disappear, this is not a problem,” the journalist said.

He also noted that the Ukrainian authorities, in particular Vladimir Zelensky and his advisers, are gradually realizing that “it is Trump, not Biden, who may have the best cards for negotiations with Putin.”

Previously, Politico journalists, citing national security experts who have ties to Trump, noted that the Republican candidate is mulling an agreement under which NATO is committing not to expand eastward, particularly into Ukraine and Georgia, and is also negotiating with Russian President Putin over how much Ukrainian territory Moscow can keep for itself.
