A jury found the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records, making him the first former president to be convicted of a felony.
This is reported by The Hill, CNN and a number of American media.
The court found Trump guilty
The jury reached a verdict late in the evening, after less than 12 hours of deliberation in the criminal case of “hiding money”.

It is noted that the 12 New York jurors who participated in Trump's trial reached a unanimous decision on his fate.
The jury's decision must be confirmed by Trump's sentencing, which is scheduled for July 11.
As the Washington Post notes, Trump faces a maximum sentence of 16 months to 4 years in prison. However, given his age and lack of criminal record, he may serve a shorter sentence or not go to prison at all.
In addition, neither conviction nor punishment will prevent Trump from assuming the presidency if he wins the US presidential election.
Cases against Trump
Specifically in this case, the 45th President of the United States, Trump, is accused of 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with a money transfer that his former fixer Michael Cohen made to porn actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election to keep secret her alleged affair with Trump ten years before the end of the vote.
The American politician denies his connection and pleads not guilty.
In addition, Donald Trump also faces three more criminal charges — in Florida, Georgia and Washington, although it appears none will go to trial before Election Day due to appeals and petitions.
