Trump to Consider Transferring Additional Patriot Systems to Ukraine

US President Donald Trump said he would consider the possibility of transferring additional Patriot air defense missile systems to Ukraine.

US May Transfer Additional Patriots to Ukraine

Trump admitted that Kyiv “really wants” to receive modern air defense systems.

— And we will see if we can transfer some (Patriot systems – Ed.). They are difficult to obtain. We need them too. We supplied them to Israel, and they are very effective. 100%, hard to believe, — Trump said during a press conference following the NATO summit, which took place in The Hague.

In recent months, Ukraine has asked the United States to transfer or sell several Patriot systems to bolster its defenses against massive missile attacks from Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he planned to discuss with Donald Trump the possibility of purchasing a defense package for Ukraine, including Patriot systems.

Let us recall that today a meeting took place between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague.

Trump called the meeting with Zelensky “very pleasant,” suggesting that the Ukrainian president would like to see the war end.
