Donald Trump held a new rally for the first time after the assassination attempt. This time it took place in the city of Grand Rapids, in the state of Michigan.

The Republican presidential candidate at the rally on July 20 traditionally ridiculed Democrats and compared former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to a “dog.”

What Trump said at the new rally

Donald Trump, after a short call for national unity, continued his “usual campaign tactics.” In particular, the 45th President of the United States:

  • continued offensive language about Democrats;
  • made “a number of false statements” about immigration, the economy and election fraud.

Trump often ridiculed the president- Democrat Joe Biden, calling him “weak.” He ridiculed senior Democrats, including Pelosi, for trying to persuade Biden to abandon his re-election bid, the reporters explained.

Trump took the stage with his new running mate Vice President – Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio – and representatives of the Republican Party.

The Republican presidential candidate stated that:

  • Democrats have several problems: “One, they have no idea who their candidate is. This guy goes and gets votes, and now they want to take them away”;< /li>
  • Pelosi: “She attacked him like a dog. She's 'crazy' like a bedbug.”

Trump also recalled the attack on him and said that “it was terrible” and he hoped that he “wouldn’t have to go through that again.”
