US President Donald Trump believes that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may have territorial ambitions beyond Ukraine.
He said this during the NATO summit in The Hague, writes The Guardian newspaper.

Asked about Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Kaine's suggestion that Putin may have broader territorial ambitions beyond Ukraine, Trump said it was “possible.”

At the same time, he said he believed Putin “would like to get out of this situation.”
“I know one thing he would like to solve, he would like to get out of this situation. For him, it's a mess,” the US president added.
Trump also said Europe must take more responsibility to prevent future disasters and wars, such as a full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine.
Let us recall that on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague, a meeting took place between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the American leader.
Zelensky called the meeting with Trump meaningful and thanked him and the United States. According to him, during the meeting, they discussed ways to cease fire and achieve peace.
