US Presidential Candidate Donald Trumpavoided a direct answer to the question about continued assistance to Ukraine with weapons and whether he would allow dictator Putin to occupy all of Ukraine if he is elected president.
He said this in an interview with Fox News.
Trump said he hopes it doesn't come to that. According to him, when he assumes the powers of the President, a lot of time will pass, more than nine months — for war and politics this is “eternity”.

The politician added that Ukrainians are very brave, although Russia has a powerful army. He believes that it was necessary to negotiate and seek a compromise. Trump said that the issue of the war in Ukraine is very painful for him, because if he were president, Putin would never have decided on a full-scale invasion.
— I knew Putin very well, we had a good relationship. He would never have decided to launch a large-scale invasion if I had been president. In March, Donald Trump met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at his private residence in Florida.
After the meeting, Orban said that Trump has “quite clear plans” at the end of the war in Ukraine and said that the American politician does not intend to provide financial support to Kyiv.
The Hungarian Prime Minister believes that if Washington refuses to finance Ukraine’s war needs, then Europe’s resources will not be enough. Thus, Orban is convinced, the war with Russia will be ended.
