Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Donald Trump in New York. During the conversation, the Republican again began talking about his good relations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Note that the conversation in New York took place a day after the Ukrainian leader met with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in Washington.

Trump said he had good relations with Putin

We have a very good relationship, and I also have a very good relationship, as you know, with President Putin. And I think if we win, I think we will solve this very quickly, – said the US presidential candidate.

Zelensky immediately responded to Trump's comments about his positive relationship with the Russian dictator. The Ukrainian president expressed hope that he and Trump will have better relations than the Republican has with Putin.

He also told Trump that he thinks they have a common vision, that the war in Ukraine must stop, and the Russian dictator cannot win. Therefore, Zelensky shared his desire to discuss our state's plan in detail.

Shortly before this, the presidential candidate said that he would be able to reach a peace agreement between Putin and Zelensky quite quickly. Trump refused to say how exactly. He commented on Zelensky's statement, who does not believe that such an agreement is possible.

“He doesn't know me,” the American said. The politician clarified that his plan is not “capitulation” and “is to save lives.” Trump said that the losses on both sides are allegedly much higher than they say.
