Head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia commented on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statement regarding the talks. The politician stressed that the Turkish leader was not talking about compromises, but about consensus.

Arahamia explained that in Turkish there are words “taviz”, meaning compromise, but there is “mutabakat”, meaning ” consensus”. It was the second word that Erdogan used when speaking about the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

David Arakhamia noted that in the context in which Erdogan spoke, “mutabakat” means negotiations on an equal footing from the point of view of the side that suffers serious losses. That is, Russia.

Speaking of alleged compromises in 4 out of 6 Russian demands, Erdogan pretty much trolled Putin and Lavrov because of their demand regarding the Russian language.

Erdogan's funniest phrase about Russian as the second language in Ukraine. He also trolled Putin and Lavrov. Literally, the Turkish president said a phrase that is a little grammatically incorrect, because it makes no sense. It sounds like this: “One of the issues, in particular, the recognition of the Russian language as official, with which Russia itself agrees. And Zelensky agrees. Everyone knows Russian there,” Arakhamia said.

The deputy summed up that By doing this, Erdogan showed the absurdity of the requirement regarding the Russian language – it is already known in Ukraine, so what the Kremlin is fighting for is an open question.
