Russia is preparing for a new offensive. And threats should be expected not only along the entire line of military clashes, but also from the territory of Belarus. Although no activity has been recorded from the north yet, it is worth being on the alert.

The Institute for the Study of War noted that there is a small chance that Russian or Belarusian troops will attack Ukraine from the North. At the same time, one should not forget that the enemy remains active on the territory of Belarus.

A strike group has not been formed in Belarus

The Institute, referring to the General Staff, noted that there is no formation of a strike group of the Russian military in Belarus. At the same time, a high-ranking official of the State Tax Service on January 30 said that the Russians had transferred their new military units to Belarus. In addition, some Russian units were redeployed, which were trained on the territory of the henchman country. They were sent back to Russia.

All these movements show that Belarus has become a kind of training center for the Russians. It is known that now there are 9,000 Russian military personnel on its territory. The Institute added that on January 25, the Main Intelligence Directorate reported about the presence of 5,800 fighters of the aggressor country.

Analysts suggest that Russia could transfer additional forces after the exercises were completed by units of the 2nd motorized rifle division of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District. Theyrelocated to Russia, as well as the Luhansk region.

Trainings of the occupiers continue

According to the available information, on January 30, the logistic support units of the 11th Belarusian mechanized brigade carried out the tasks of ensuring the readiness of the joint Russian-Belarusian regional group of troops.

On the footage published on January 29 , you can see the units of the 11th Belarusian mechanized brigade. She performs combat readiness tasks in Slonim, in the Grodno region. According to the “Belorussky Gayun”, on January 27, a convoy with at least 30 unidentified vehicles of this brigade passed through this settlement. p>

Finally, let's pay attention to the current data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the morning report of January 31, the department reported that no offensive enemy groups were found from the north. And the situation in the Volyn, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions has not changed significantly.
