Traffic on the Kyiv-Chop highway in Lviv was completely blocked from approximately seven in the morning on August 12.
It was possible to go around the blocked area using an alternative route.

It is known that the closure on the Kyiv-Chop highway occurred due to a collision between a Renault Master minibus and a DAF road train.
According to preliminary data, the driver of the Renault Master, a 22-year-old resident of the Lviv region, drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a DAF road train driven by a 55-year-old resident of Kiev.
Both drivers died on the spot.
Note that from 09:50 on August 12, traffic was completely blocked within the dam on the N-16 Zolotonosha – Cherkassy – Smela – Uman highway.
The blockage was also caused by a traffic accident.
Daewoo Lanos and Hyundai Elantra collided there.
Rescuers released two victims from the damaged cars. One person died.
From 10:13 patrol officers provided reverse traffic in this area.
