With the beginning of the full-scale war, Valentina Nagornaya joined the Azov Kyiv Troops. The girl worked in medical evacuation and at the stabilization point of the Third Assault Brigade.

Volunteer Liliya Matveeva reported that medic Valkiria died along with her lover — fighter of the Third Assault Brigade Daniil.

The head of the medical service of the 3rd Assault Brigade Victoria Kovacs said that Valentina did not have a medical education, but this did not stop the girl from saving the wounded. In civilian life, Valentina (Valkyrie) was a biotechnologist and a manicurist.
— You loved black in clothes and light in people. You were extraordinary in everything — from the carpet in the hallway that scared the cat to “smell what cool perfume”… You read books and loved long eyelashes. And — you also went with me to the gas station for late-night hot dogs, – said Victoria Kovacs.
