On International Women's Day, ladies want more than just flowers. This is proved by the postcards of the Belarusian photographer. They have become a true manifesto.
It was made by photo artist Alina Mazovets. She dedicated postcards to women's struggle for their rights. So we could not ignore them on March 8th.
The artist admits that the frame itself was not made for postcards. But this is one of her brightest works. And she very organically fit the photographer's plan. Thus, she decided to powerfully and cheerfully congratulate on the holiday.
This is not anti-propaganda of flowers
Mazowiec emphasizes that these postcards are not anti-propaganda of flowers. She noted that it is simply impossible to “stick up all the holes in social inequality” with flowers.
Now women, and I think that men also, want peace, victory and freedom more than ever, she stressed.
The photographer adds that the inequality still exists. And when we try to change something in this matter, it becomes a waste of a huge amount of time and resources. According to her, it is unlikely that we and our children will be able to “survive until the moment when equality is possible.” However, this does not mean that all of us should now sit and do nothing.
There are three photographer's postcards. One is dedicated to Belarus and two to Ukraine. Moreover, both in Ukrainian and in Belarusian. As for the texts on them, they are as follows:
- “To the ass flowers, the woman wants the freedom of Belarus”;
- “To the ass flowers, the woman wants the victory of Ukraine.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian entrepreneurs are trying to make a lot of money on flowers for March 8. Yes, we found a bouquet that was valued at over $11,000.
3,500 white roses for March 8
- Sellers in Kiev called a fantastic bouquet of roses “Surprise your beloved”. Here the name exactly matches what awaits her.
- And she expects 3,500 white roses in vases. They will be sorted into smaller bouquets of 100, 250 and 500 pieces. The length of the flower stem is from 60 to 80 centimeters.
- They ask for only 430 thousand hryvnias for such a modest bouquet. I'm glad you don't have to pay for shipping. She, the seller convinces, is free.
