As Zagorodniy noted, Trump has repeatedly said that his goal is to stop the war in Ukraine. There are questions about how exactly he wants to do this. But he will put pressure on both Ukraine and Russia. After Trump's victory in the elections, time is working against Putin.

If Putin does not agree to the proposals, they will start “twisting his arms.” The Russian dictator has repeatedly put forward his own inadequate demands, according to which he wants the entire Zaporizhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Any deviation by Putin from those demands will lead to Russia sliding into an internal crisis. Let's theoretically imagine the demarcation line. It will also pass through the Kursk region? This will be a domestic political catastrophe for Putin, which will be superimposed on the economic one, – said Zagorodniy.

Russia also fears that Trump's actions will provoke a drop in oil prices. And this will significantly hit the Russian budget, from where more and more funds are going to the war.
