Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte announced the transfer of new aid to Ukraine. We are talking about three launchers and radar systems for the Patriot air defense system.

In addition to the installations and radar systems for the Patriot, the Netherlands also allocated money for the purchase of drones for Ukraine. This was announced on the same day by the country's Ministry of Defense.

The Netherlands will provide installations and radar for Patriot

On the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, Rutte noted that on June 11 he attended the International Conference on the Recovery and Reconstruction of Ukraine. The Dutch Prime Minister stressed that the country is increasing support to strengthen Ukraine's economy and society, as well as ensure its ability to continue to resist Russian aggression.

“The Netherlands is providing a new package of 138 million euros for important repairs to energy infrastructure, humanitarian aid and business initiatives for reconstruction,” Rutte wrote.

However, he noted that there is no point in reconstruction without a strong armed forces. Therefore, the Netherlands will also continue to provide military support to Ukraine.

We are negotiating with international partners on the supply of the Patriot system to Ukraine. The Netherlands has created a radar and three launch systems for this purpose, the head of the Dutch government noted.

Rutte also said that, working together with our international partners, the Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine both economically and militarily.

The Netherlands will also help Ukraine purchase drones

On the same day, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced that it would allocate 60 million euros for the purchase of drones for Ukraine. This refers to sea drones that Ukraine itself produces.

According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense, 20 million euros will be allocated for the purchase of FPV drones through an international coalition formed earlier this year. In addition, 17.5 million euros have been allocated for the purchase of Ukrainian-made naval drones.

These high-tech innovations are also important for the Netherlands. For joint industry cooperation and as lessons for our own armed forces, said Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren.

The remaining military support is intended for the supply of various types of drones. The ministry's note also states that Dutch industry will also “benefit from this.”
