As of Monday, December 25, three more truck checkpoints remain blocked on the border with Poland.
The speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine announced this on the air of the national telethon Unified News Andrey Demchenko.
— There are currently three directions of blocking. Yesterday after 9 am Shegini was unblocked, fortunately this happened because this direction had been blocked since November 27th. And over the past 24 hours, we noted that the number of vehicles that crossed the border has increased significantly. But three directions remain blocked — this is Yagodin-Dorogusk, Krakovets-Korcheva, Rava-Russkaya — Grebennoe, — he said.
Demchenko reported that there is still some truck traffic through the Krakovets checkpoint, but Yagodin-Dorogusk is almost completely blocked. With a capacity of 1500 cars, less than 150 cars pass there every day.
Now they are watching
— As of this morning, there are 3,400 trucks in the queue at these three points, and there is also a queue at Shegini — about 700 trucks. But this is due to the fact that the border has been blocked for a long time, — he says.
Recall that on November 6, Polish carriers began blockade of three checkpoints – Yagodin – Dorogusk, Krakovets – Korczowa and Rawa-Ruska – Grebennoye. This significantly complicated Ukrainian exports.
December 22 Poland and Ukraine agreed to unblock the borders between the countries, agreeing on an action plan in which the next stage was to be negotiations at the level of the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and protesters.
