Threats from Both Sides: How China Treats US Presidential Candidates Natalia Belzetskaya

After Joseph Biden dropped out of the election race, Vice President Kamala Harris became the Democratic candidate. Russians realize that she will continue the policy of the current president.

This opinion was expressed by Vita Golod, Chairperson of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Sinologists, on Channel 24, noting that the actions of Biden and Trump were radically different. Now China sees threats from both candidates.

How do they feel about Trump and Harris in China

Biden's policy was very “hawkish”. It threatens to further deepen the crisis.

But with Trump, we never know what will happen tomorrow. Therefore, from the point of view of pragmatism, China likes Trump more.

But from the point of view of understanding the situation, the Democrats prevail. Their policy is at least clear and understandable. It is conducted publicly, – noted Vita Golod.

Trump has a different balance of power, in particular regarding his advisers. He decides everything on his own. In addition, the danger from his presidency could be a radical position on Taiwan and even greater political support for the country.
