Thousands of votes in question: Pennsylvania disputes votes from abroad Sofia Khushvakhtova

Thousands of ballots sent in by voters from overseas have been appealed in Pennsylvania. This process could affect the final outcome of the election in the key state.

In the state of Pennsylvania, there are doubts about more than 4 thousand American votes in the 2024 US elections that are abroad, and these ballots may not be counted in the voting results. This is reported by Channel 24, citing ABC News.

What information is known about the appeal of votes in Pennsylvania

Such ballots came from two groups of voters – those who voted by mail without updating their registration, and citizens living outside the United States and who are not military personnel. Applications to appeal the ballots could be submitted until Friday, November 1.

Please note!Given Pennsylvania's status as a key state in the election, the fate of these 4,300 votes could significantly affect the final results. A decision on whether to count these ballots is planned at a hearing scheduled to take place before November 8.

It remains unknown who exactly filed these complaints. In Chester County, for example, a complaint was filed by a Trump supporter who claimed to be “nonpartisan.”

In Lycoming County, 72 complaints were filed by a lawyer from the PA Fair Elections group, a conservative organization that has repeatedly raised concerns about the voting procedure. The lawyer herself noted that she acted as a private individual, and not as a representative of the organization.

At the same time, York County has already rejected 354 appeals, but pledged to store these ballots separately in case of possible appeals.
