On March 25, a rally in support of Ukraine was held in Warsaw. Thousands of participants in the action “Stop promising, start acting!” called on the West to protect Ukraine from Russian aggression, in particular to close the sky.

More than 4,000 people took to the streets to pay attention to the civilian casualties. They honored their memory in an interesting way – they lay down on the ground.

The action was organized by Daria Kaleniuk , Yaroslav Gres and the community of Ukrainian activists.

Participants sang the national anthem of Ukraine and called on NATO to close the sky over our country. They also had banners with slogans like “Biden, give more weapons to our people” and “I want to go home to Irpen”.

In addition, a performance was staged in front of the building of the Drama Theater on the square in Warsaw – people lay down on the ground, hiding behind bags and jackets, as they do with the bodies of civilians killed by the invaders. These people personified the victims of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Until the West keeps its promises, every minute people suffer and die in Ukraine. World, stop it! the organizers called.

Note, according to the UN, since the beginning of the war, 1,035 civilians have died at the hands of the occupier in Ukraine, but in fact the numbers are higher. In Mariupol alone, public utilities buried 3000-4500 people in mass graves.
