This will reduce the number of dead, - Podolyak on long-range missiles

Ukraine needs and asks partners for long-range missiles to hit the occupiers' warehouses in the depths of the occupied territories. Then it will significantly reduce the death toll on our side.

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the OP, told Channel 24 about this. He noted that Ukraine asks only for what is legalized, in particular, long-range missiles.

According to him, this is an absolutely legally motivated use and will significantly reduce the number of deaths on our part .

Because we will destroy the warehouse infrastructure. They (invaders – Channel 24) will not have shells. This is a key element of this war. Then we will increase the humanistic component and reduce the number of losses. This is important,” Podolyak explains.

He noted that a complex negotiation process is underway for the supply of any weapons.

How quickly Ukraine is provided with weapons

Podolyak stressed that everything looks practically: “We give you,” and this is a week or two or three.

But, in his opinion, there are two components in the timing of the delivery of weapons:

  • the first is logistics delivery,
  • the second is the training of our fighters, who should use it.

It makes no sense to import something 2 weeks before our guys finish their training. Synchronization sometimes gives certain discrepancies in time. And so, logistics is a month. They said, and somewhere in a month he will be on the battlefield, – said the adviser to the head of the OP.

In his opinion, such a quick delivery does not apply to complex systems, such as the Patriot. “Because this is the most modern technological weapon. Training is needed there. It was not there at all. Our military did not study. And today it needs to be passed,” he added.

By the way, Ukraine is seeking to receive ATACMS missiles from the United States , as well as Gray Eagle and Reaper combat drones. However, Washington has so far refused to provide Ukraine with these weapons. General Ben Hodges believes that the United States regards this as a provocation and a reason for further escalation. “They say they can be used to strike targets deep in Russia. But I do not agree with such a vision,” he added.
