According to Svitan, there will be no direct combat between Russians and NATO troops. But there will be a hybrid war, like the one that happened in Donbass in 2014-2015. In the Baltic countries, pro-Russian politicians have already begun to emerge, who speak ambiguously about the war between Russia and Ukraine, the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

This is already the beginning of a hybrid war. The infiltration of Russian special services in the Baltic countries has never stopped; they were merged there 100 years ago. The beginning will be exactly at this level,” noted the reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Probable offensive

Now the Russians, according to Svitan, are not interested in the Baltic countries in terms of military operations, because now they are focused on the war with Ukraine. The beginning of this process has already begun, but it takes years to begin.

The Russians need 5-7 years to regroup, restore supplies in order to move towards NATO countries. Before the Russians try to attack the Baltic countries, these countries will have NATO weapons, noted the reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He also added that if If Russia now transferred all its troops to the Baltic countries, then, probably, the Russians would be able to “walk” through several countries. Estonia would have suffered first.

However, there is an important point – any ground step by the Russians in The Baltic side will be met by the aviation component of NATO countries. There will be a strike in the first second by aircraft, long-range weapons and missiles.
