This war had no rational reasons other than morbid ambitions – Podolyak on Putin's speech

Mikhail Podolyak/OP

Today, May 9, a cynical and shameful military parade is taking place in Russia. In his speech, the President of the country, as always, was talking nonsense.

Many have already spoken about the miserable parade. Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, also decided to do this. He also commented on Vladimir Putin's absurd speech during the parade on Red Square.

Podolyak about Putin's speech at the parade

In his speech, Putin was talking nonsense, completely untrue. He, as always, argued that the army “saves” the citizens of Ukraine and Russia “has nothing to do with it.” This is only part of what the mad leader said.

Mikhail Podolyak openly objected to each of Putin's theses, and stressed that “this war had no rational reasons other than Russia's painful imperial ambitions.”

Let's talk again. NATO countries were not going to attack Russia. Ukraine did not plan to attack Crimea. The Russian military are dying not defending their country, but trying to occupy another,” Podolyak objected to Putin.

What Putin spoke about in his speech at the military parade

  • The head of the Kremlin traditionally began his nonsense about “a united Soviet people” and “historical lands”.
  • He brutally called the war in Ukraine and the killing of civilians “protection of the people of Donbass”.
  • In Putin's sick imagination, the Russians are on their territory and “fight together with the population of Donbass.” It seems that the aggressor “forgot” to say that he was using men from the Ukrainian Donbass as cannon fodder.
  • According to Putin, military men who arrived from Donetsk and Luhansk allegedly participate in the parade.
  • The war in Ukraine, or, as he says, “special operation”, the aggressor explained by traditional propaganda, which has no confirmation. Like, NATO was “preparing for an offensive”, Kyiv was talking about “purchasing” nuclear weapons and other similar nonsense.
