The head of the foreign affairs commission of the Estonian parliament, Marko Mihkelson, criticized the German chancellor and the French president for a telephone conversation with Putin. The politician stressed that this is the path to new aggression.

The Estonian politician condemned the actions of Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron. Mark Mihkelson emphasized the need to support Ukraine.

Scholz and Macron's actions threaten Europe

Mihkelson noted that he is aware of the harsh criticism of the allies, but noted that establishing contacts with the initiator of the war and his legitimization actually threatens the entire European Union. The Estonian MP stressed that Scholz and Macron are paving the way for new aggression.

The politician was outraged that instead of helping Ukraine, the leaders of Germany and France hope for an agreement with the Kremlin.

How did Paris and Berlin learn nothing from the past? Why look for reasons to delay military assistance to Ukraine, and why is it believed that Putin's Russia, waging a war to destroy one of the great nations of Europe, will keep any promises? – Mihkelson noted.

The politician stressed that if Scholz and Macron are worried about the food crisis in the world, then we need to think about humanitarian corridors in the Black Sea and the exit of Ukrainian ships.

And in general, Mihkelson stressed that it would be more logical to help Ukraine win the war, because Russia seeks to change the world order.

“Macron and Scholz could hang up the phone and go to Ukraine faster. I hope that the strange actions of Macron and Scholz are not caused by the fear of losing influence in democratic Europe, which in the event of a victorious war would certainly include Ukraine, and in the future both Moldova and Georgia , and Belarus would be freed from the actual Russian occupation. And Europe, in general, would be freed from the Russian existential threat,” Mihkelson stressed.

Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister urged to ignore Putin

Kaja Kallas – the Estonian prime minister – noticed that there was no point in calling the head of the Kremlin. This makes Putin feel “important.” Meanwhile, the president of the aggressor country needs to be isolated.

Macron and Scholz have a conversation with Putin

The telephone conversation between the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany with the Russian dictator took place on May 28 and lasted 80 minutes.

Macron and Scholz demanded an end to the blockade of the Ukrainian seas so that our country could supply grain and stop the food crisis. Also, European leaders called for an end to the war and the release of about 2,500 defenders of Mariupol.
