The expert noted Russians will not be able to answer Ukraine “adequately” to the explosion on the Crimean bridge.

According to him, 12 hours after the explosion on the Crimean bridge, Putin issued a decree that the FSB would provide security for the facility, which is “a very strange decision.”

If in democratic societies the role of the “area of power” is played by legitimacy, that is it is a reliance on the majority, then in empires, and Russia is a relic of the empire, power rests on a sense of sacredness . That is, we are talking about the fact that the leader can be “God's anointed”, that power is granted to him somewhere from above – by some extrahuman institution, – the analyst emphasized.
According to him, Putin over the years he built for himself just such a concept of power and now it is being destroyed before everyone's eyes due to the explosion on the Crimean bridge.
“This Crimean bridge was extremely important a symbol of this power. Putin, having “annexed” Crimea, “connected” it to Russia with the help of this bridge, as if umbilical cord . , on the very structure of modern Russia as an empire,” the expert said.
